According to the Dallas Morning News, “the Casa View area, which includes about 17 neighborhoods located from Garland Road to the northeast and Interstate 30 to the southeast between Peavy Road and Interstate 635, came in first on a data-driven list of the best places to buy a home for quality per dollar in East Dallas.”
In The Dallas Morning News’ study, factors such as safety, schools and property appreciation were the most heavily weighted to determine the overall quality.
The lots are typically larger in Casa Linda than in Casa View and therefore, also more expensive. At the corner of Buckner Blvd and Garland Road is the still burgeoning and historic Casa Linda Shopping Center. For the most part, housing in this arena is most affordable and offers the beauty of mature trees.
